East Lake came tearing into Friday's contest with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the River Ridge Royal Knights. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2022.

Their offense was headlined by Maura Haubert and Asalyn Schrotenboer, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Jo Jo Wheaton and her 19 assists. Lacy Hayes controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Despite the loss, River Ridge still got an impressive performance from Jessica Jacobs, who had nine digs and one assist.

East Lake's victory bumped their record up to 17-2. As for River Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-5.

East Lake didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Wiregrass Ranch on the 4th. As for River Ridge, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Crystal River on the 4th.
