Softball Recap: Liberty Wins Going Away Against Silverado

Liberty not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 1, 2024. They put the hurt on the Silverado Skyhawks with a sharp 15-0 victory. The Patriots' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

The team relied heavily on Morgyn Vesco, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in triples (two). Logan Sanford was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Liberty hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts in three consecutive matches.

Liberty's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Silverado, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the loss, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Liberty has already played their next contest, a 17-2 victory against Faith Lutheran on the 14th. As for Silverado, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 21-11 win against Bonanza on the 24th.
