Basketball Recap: Trey Schieber Key Part of a Team Effort in Falcon Win

Douglas County West won the last time they faced Fort Calhoun and things went their way on Thursday too. The Douglas County West Falcon came out on top against the Fort Calhoun Pioneers by a score of 54-46.

Douglas County West's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Trey Schieber, who posted 15 points. Those 15 points gave Schieber a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zane Wohlers, who earned 12 points.

Fort Calhoun lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Dylan Keyser, who made all 6 shots he took to post 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kade Foy, who had five points.

The win got Douglas County West back to even at 1-1. As for Fort Calhoun, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Douglas County West and Arlington will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fort Calhoun, they will welcome Yutan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
