Volleyball Recap: Blake Find Success + How To Watch

Blake proved they can win big on Monday (they won by three) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Providence Academy Lions 3-2. This was payback for the Bears, who suffered a 3-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Blake was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (113-106), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 25-27, 25-21, 27-25, 12-25, 17-15.

Despite the loss, Providence Academy still got an impressive performance from Brooke Huegel, who had 25 digs. Elizabeth Smyth was another key player, getting 15 digs.

Blake has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Providence Academy, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-7.

Blake has already played their next contest (against Breck), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Providence Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Cotter on the 19th.
