Softball Recap: Fort Madison Takes a Loss

Fort Madison suffered their closest loss since July 8, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of the Washington Demons by a score of 4-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Bloodhounds in their meetings with the Demons: they've now lost four in a row.

Fort Madison now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Washington, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-4.

Coming up, Fort Madison will welcome Mt. Pleasant at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.07 runs per game on average), something the Bloodhounds will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Washington, they have already played their next matchup, a 4-3 victory against Don Bosco on the 13th.
