Basketball Game Preview: Lowell Cardinals vs. Lincoln Mustangs

Lowell hasn't had much luck against Lincoln recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Lowell Cardinals will square off against the Lincoln Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Lowell narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Wallenberg 52-50.

Meanwhile, Lincoln had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They blew past the Bulldogs 64-40. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 22 points or more this season.

Lowell has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-14 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.2 points over those games. As for Lincoln, their win bumped their record up to 16-9.

Lowell ended up a good deal behind Lincoln in their previous matchup back in January, losing 62-44. Can Lowell avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
