Preview: Town East Christian Eagles vs. Vanguard Christian Knights
Town East Christian has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Vanguard Christian Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
Town East Christian's 20-7 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They fell to Vanguard Christian 51-47.
Despite the defeat, Town East Christian got a solid performance out of Owen Cadena, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. Cadena has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times he's played. Steven Windhorst was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds.
Town East Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Vanguard Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.
Town East Christian came up short against Vanguard Christian in their previous meeting on Tuesday, falling 51-47. Can Town East Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
