4A Metro Top Player Performances of the Week
Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!
Ian Mckinnon Earns League's Top Spot
Starting off the list is Southeast Guilford's Ian Mckinnon, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. On Friday Mckinnon forced a fumble and made ten total tackles. The performance also marked the most rushing yards (82) he has had since back in September of 2023. He also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because Southeast Guilford is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise.
This season, Mckinnon has averaged 4.5 total tackles per game. It gets even more impressive: after six games last season, he was only averaging 23.33 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 50.33 rushing yards.
