Piedmont has gone a perfect 10-0 against Anson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Panthers will venture away from home to challenge the Bearcats at 6:00 p.m. Piedmont is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.7 runs per game this season.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Piedmont and Parkwood have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Wolf Pack with a sharp 10-0 win. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Wolf Pack recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Piedmont got a big performance out of Tara Deese, who scored two runs while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Brown, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Piedmont always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Parkwood only posted an OBP of .217.

Meanwhile, Anson came up short against Richmond on Monday and fell 9-4.

Piedmont's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Anson, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-14.

Piedmont took their win against Anson in their previous matchup back in March by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
