Basketball Game Preview: Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda Coyotes vs. Dawson-Boyd Blackjacks

The Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda Coyotes will challenge the Dawson-Boyd Blackjacks at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Dawson-Boyd took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda, who comes in off a win.

Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda beat Murray County Central 57-52.

Meanwhile, Dawson-Boyd was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a blow against Lakeview, falling 70-39. While losing is never fun, the Blackjacks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 340th, while the Lakers are ranked 167th).

Dawson-Boyd's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda, their win bumped their record up to 8-12.

Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda was taken down by Dawson-Boyd 75-30 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Heron Lake-Okabena/Fulda avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
