With a playoff win on the line, Kellam rose to the challenge on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Maury Commodores. Winning may never get old, but the Knights sure are getting used to it with their 18th in a row.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Kellam was: they took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-15, 25-12.

Emmie Irving went supernova, getting seven digs and four aces. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 18 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Irving wasn't the only good servers: Kellam was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in seven consecutive matchups.

Kellam's win bumped their record up to 23-3. As for Maury, their loss ended an eight-match streak of away wins and brought them to 20-2.

Looking ahead, Kellam will face off against Midlothian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Maury does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
