Preview: Hunt Warriors vs. Beddingfield Bruins
The Hunt Warriors will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Beddingfield Bruins at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hunt will be strutting in after a win while Beddingfield will be coming in after a loss.
Hunt's eight-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end last Friday. They walked away with a 41-34 win over Bertie. The victory was just what Hunt needed coming off of a 66-37 defeat in their prior contest.
Hunt's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ti'asia Taylor led the charge by scoring 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Aiyana Harrison, who scored 12 points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, Beddingfield came up short against Nash Central on Wednesday and fell 58-51.
Hunt's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-6. As for Beddingfield, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.
Hunt came up short against Beddingfield in their previous meeting on December 5th, falling 53-44. Can Hunt avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
