Football Recap: Granger Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Wahluke last Thursday, Granger came back down to earth. The Spartans lost 28-8 to the Columbia Coyotes on Friday. The Spartans were not able to make up for their loss to the Coyotes from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Granger has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Columbia, they pushed their record up to 3-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Granger will venture away from home to challenge River View at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Spartans will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.17 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Columbia, they will square off against Newport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Coyotes will need to watch out since the Grizzlies have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
