The La Junta Tigers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They came out on top against Woodland Park by a score of 54-47. The win made it back-to-back wins for La Junta.
La Junta got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Monze Alvidres out in front who scored 24 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Miles Marshall, who scored 14 points.
La Junta's victory bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Woodland Park, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-6.
La Junta will take on Banning Lewis Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Banning Lewis Academy is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games. As for Woodland Park, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ellicott at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ellicott comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
