Flag Football Recap: Banneker Starts Season with Victory Against Tri-Cities + How To Watch

Banneker had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Tri-Cities Bulldogs 37-0 on Thursday. The Trojans were shut out 20-0 the last time they took on the Bulldogs, so the Trojans were just returning the favor.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Banneker to victory, but perhaps none more so than AMERA STEADMON, who picked up 20 receiving yards and a pair of scores, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Rachelle Pun, who rushed for 69 yards on only five carries.

Banneker didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut STEADMON.

Tri-Cities is on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coincidentally, Banneker and Tri-Cities will both be playing Douglass the next time they take the field. The Trojans will head out to face the Astros at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bulldogs will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
