Softball Recap: Manteo Comes Up Short

Manteo lost against Nansemond-Suffolk Academy back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Manteo Redskins lost 7-1 to the Nansemond-Suffolk Academy Saints. The match marked the Redskins' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Manteo's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, they pushed their record up to 2-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Manteo will take on First Flight at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Manteo's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so First Flight's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, they will square off against Fredericksburg Christian at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
