Sequoia Charter waltzed into their matchup  on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Tohono O'Odham Eagles  a   22-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  23-2  two weeks ago.
 Naomi Sams was a  major factor no matter where she played. She  struck out six batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit (and not a single walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts any time she's  pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with three  stolen bases, four  RBI,  and two  runs.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Reyna Chavez, who  went 3-for-4 with three  stolen bases, four  runs,  and two  RBI. She also put up a  double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Maddison Osif, who  went 1-for-2 with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
 Sequoia Charter  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. That's the most  hits they've managed all season.
Sequoia Charter's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Tohono O'Odham,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-9.
As of now, neither Sequoia Charter nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
