Basketball Recap: East Marshall Wins Going Away Against Union

After losing to Union the last time they met, East Marshall decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The East Marshall Mustangs put the hurt on the Union Knights with a sharp 76-56 victory on Tuesday. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 20 points or more this season.

East Marshall is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.8 points per game. As for Union, with the loss, they broke their eight-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-2.

East Marshall wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 75-71 defeat against Aplington-Parkersburg on the 10th. Union has also already played their next game, a 64-56 loss against Columbus on the 9th.
