Volleyball Game Preview: Norwell Knights vs. Huntington North Vikings

Norwell is 1-9 against Huntington North since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Knights will face off against the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Tuesday, Norwell came up short against East Noble and fell 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 21-25, 25-16, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Huntington North lost 3-0 to Bellmont on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Braves: they've now lost nine in a row.

While Huntington North was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Bellmont's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-10, 26-24.

Huntington North's loss dropped their record down to 11-18. As for Norwell, their defeat dropped their record down to 25-5.

Norwell beat Huntington North 3-1 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
