Basketball Game Preview: Harrison Central Huskies vs. St. Clairsville Red Devils

The Harrison Central Huskies are taking a road trip to square off against the St. Clairsville Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Harrison Central is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest defeat since December 20, 2024 on Tuesday. They were dealt a 66-36 loss at the hands of Carrollton. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 512th, while the Warriors are ranked 210th).

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Tuesday St. Clairsville sidestepped Steubenville for a 71-69 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Red Devils.

St. Clairsville is also on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Harrison Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-10.

Harrison Central couldn't quite finish off St. Clairsville in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 and fell 91-88. Can Harrison Central avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
