It was a good run, but Panther Creek unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Denton Broncos. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Panthers were not able to get on the board.

Lalia Ukawuba paced Panther Creek's offense, picking up eight kills. Ukawuba got some help from Haliee Irish and her 11 assists. Marley Landress controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Panther Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Denton, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Panther Creek wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Lake Worth on the 16th. As for Denton, they will square off against Sanger at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
