Soccer Game Preview: Adams vs. North Mesquite

The Adams Cougars will face off against the North Mesquite Stallions at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Adams will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

Last Friday, Adams sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Seagoville. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 51st, while the Dragons are ranked 555th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Isaac Esparza and Angel Frias scored all three of Adams' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, North Mesquite's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They and Poteet finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw. The result kept the Stallions happy, as they haven't lost a game since January 11th.

Adams' win bumped their record up to 7-0-2. With that draw, North Mesquite's record moves to 6-3-1.
