Volleyball Recap: Racine Case Takes a Loss

Racine Case was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Oregon Panthers.

Despite the loss, Racine Case still got an impressive performance from Elise Webster, who had 12 digs and three assists. Webster has been hot, having posted 12 or more digs the last five times she's played.

Oregon had a senior duo take command as Alexis Fields had 11 digs and two aces and Devin Howard had four digs and three aces. Those three aces set a new season-high mark for Howard.

Racine Case's defeat dropped their record down to 8-18. As for Oregon, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-18.

Racine Case wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Sun Prairie West on the 27th. As for Oregon, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Johnsburg on the 27th.
