Preview: Logansport Berries vs. Harrison Raiders
Logansport is 1-9 against Harrison since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Logansport Berries will look to defend their home court against the Harrison Raiders at 7:30 p.m. Logansport comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
Last Saturday, Logansport lost to Lewis Cass on the road by a decisive 51-36 margin. While losing is never fun, Logansport can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 377th, while Lewis Cass is ranked 42nd).
Meanwhile, Harrison didn't have too much trouble with Anderson on the road on Saturday as they won 58-42. The win made it back-to-back wins for Harrison.
Riley Whitlock was her usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with 9 rebounds and 5 steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Harrison's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elsie Ahnert, who scored 10 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
The losses dropped Logansport to 0-7 and Lewis Cass to 6-1.
Things could have been worse for Logansport, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 47-29 loss to Harrison in their previous meeting back in February. Thankfully for Logansport, Riley Flinn (who scored 16 points along with 7 rebounds and 5 assists) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
