Football Recap: Oak Grove Comes Up Short

If Oak Grove was feeling good fresh off their 49-0 takedown of Ledford last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Grizzlies and the Reagan Raiders were almost perfectly matched up on Friday, but the Grizzlies suffered a 7-6 loss. Despite 112 more yards than the Raiders, the Grizzlies couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Grayson Treadway threw for 150 yards on 14 of 24 attempts. Jaiquan Clay was his top target, picking up 72 receiving yards.

John Evans Jr. was the offensive standout of the matchup as he rushed for 89 yards and one touchdown.

Oak Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Reagan, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Oak Grove wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 48-0 victory against Salisbury on the 5th. As for Reagan, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 35-0 win against Reidsville on the 5th.
