Willcox hasn't had much luck at home recently (they'd lost three straight) but thanks in part to Emiliano Chavez that streak is no more. The Willcox Cowboys blew past the Patagonia Lobos, posting a 57-30 win thanks in part to Chavez, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine steals. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in steals.

Another player making a difference was Da'Marion Jackson, who posted eight points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played.

When it comes to explaining why Patagonia lost on Tuesday, don't look at Diego Carranza. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a triple-double with 19 points, nine boards, and 12 steals. Carranza is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games he's played. Gavin Arbizo was another key player, putting up two points and five rebounds.

Willcox's victory bumped their record up to 14-11. As for Patagonia, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 13-15 record this season.

Willcox has already played their next contest, a 53-46 win against Santa Rita on the 6th. As for Patagonia, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-34 victory against San Simon on the 6th.
