Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Colfax-Mingo). They strolled past the B-G-M Bears with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 58-44. The win was some much needed relief for the Tigerhawks as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Colfax-Mingo's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-12. As for B-G-M, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Colfax-Mingo and B-G-M could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Iowa Rankings. Colfax-Mingo (ranked 268th) will meet Lynnville-Sully (ranked 109th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Colfax-Mingo is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. Meanwhile, B-G-M will take on Montezuma at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 181 places (266 vs. 85).
