Basketball Game Preview: Beth Haven Christian Hornets vs. Covenant Eagles

Beth Haven Christian and Covenant are an even 4-4 against one another since December of 2015, but not for long. The Hornets will head out on the road to challenge the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Beth Haven Christian is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Beth Haven Christian fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Carter Christian Academy on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 55-54 to Carter Christian Academy.

Beth Haven Christian might have lost, but man, Aiden Workman was a machine: he dropped a double-double with 32 points and 18 rebounds. The matchup was Workman's tenth in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Ethan Robinette, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 12 boards.

Meanwhile, Covenant lost 56-34 to Cross Lanes Christian on Thursday.

Beth Haven Christian's loss dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Covenant, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-11.

Beth Haven Christian was dealt a bruising 88-24 loss at the hands of Covenant in their previous matchup back in November of 2023. Can the Hornets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
