Baseball Recap: Valley View Takes a Loss

Valley View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Whitesboro Bearcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bearcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 on Tuesday.

Johnny Nelson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Valley View's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Whitesboro, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-11.

Valley View does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Whitesboro, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Paradise at 7:00 p.m. The Panthers will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Bearcats surely won't give up without a fight.
