James Clemens's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Bob Jones Patriots an 8-0 shutout. The Jets not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since February 27th.

Not much got past Preslee Etheridge, who gave up just four hits and racked up nine Ks to keep Bob Jones off the board.

On the hitting side, Makayla Mann was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Jaslyn Ragan, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

James Clemens' win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 8-14-1. As for Bob Jones, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 14 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-20 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. James Clemens will take on Falkville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bob Jones, they will challenge Mountain Brook at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
