Baseball Recap: Andover Extends Road Winning Streak to Seven

Andover proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by eight) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over the Eden Prairie Eagles. The victory continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

Blake Baumann looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Keaton Coe, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Andover pushed their record up to 12-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Eden Prairie, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Andover will challenge Rogers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Eden Prairie, they will face off against Wayzata at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
