Carmel had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.6 goals) and they went ahead and made it eight on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Plainfield Quakers with a sharp 8-0 victory. Considering Carmel have won nine matches by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Carmel's win bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Plainfield, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carmel will head out to square off against Zionsville at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Zionsville's defense has only allowed 0.3 goals per game this season, so Carmel's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Plainfield, they are taking a road trip to face off against New Palestine at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
