 On Thursday, Bentonville faced Cabot in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Bentonville Tigers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  4-3  win over the Cabot Panthers. The  victory was just what Bentonville needed coming off of  a  9-1 defeat in their prior  matchup.
 For Cabot's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Jake Belton, who  went 3-for-3 with a  double and  an  RBI. Belton has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 The  win  got Bentonville back to even at 5-5. As for Cabot, their loss  ended  a  ten-game streak of away wins  dating back to last season and  brought them to 12-2.
 Bentonville will head out on the road to  face off against  Fayetteville at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Cabot, they will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Central at 5:00  p.m. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average, (Cabot: 2.6, Central: 3.8) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
