Softball Game Preview: East Rockingham Eagles vs. Harrisonburg Blue Streaks

The East Rockingham Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Harrisonburg Blue Streaks at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for East Rockingham and six for Harrisonburg.

East Rockingham lost 12-1 to Turner Ashby on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Harrisonburg fell victim to Spotswood and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Trailblazers, falling 17-0. That's two games in a row now that the Blue Streaks have lost by exactly 17 runs.

East Rockingham's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Harrisonburg, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.

East Rockingham took their win against Harrisonburg in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 11-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
