Baseball Recap: Fairfax Gets the Win

Fairfax's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They skirted past the Bravo Knights 5-3. This was payback for the Lions, who suffered a 9-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Pablo Guerrero spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Alexander Lemus, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

Fairfax's record is now 6-16. As for Bravo, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.

Fairfax will be playing at home against Vaughn at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bravo, they will host Eagle Rock at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
