Volleyball Recap: Zion-Benton Comes Up Short

Zion-Benton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Libertyville Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Zee-Bees of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Zion-Benton was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 11 points in every single set they played. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-11.

Zion-Benton's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Libertyville, the win keeps they at an undefeated 7-0.

Zion-Benton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Maine East on the 17th. As for Libertyville, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Vernon Hills on the 17th.
