Cypress Lakes and Cypress Park are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2020, but likely not for long. The Cypress Lakes Spartans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cypress Park Tigers at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cypress Lakes will be strutting in after a win while Cypress Park will be coming in after a defeat.

Cypress Lakes is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They came out on top against Dekaney by a score of 12-8 on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Spartans as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Cypress Park's offense. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Klein Collins on Saturday.

Cypress Park saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gio Salda?a, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that Salda?a snagged this season.

Cypress Park has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. Cypress Lakes' win bumped their record up to 2-7.

Cypress Lakes couldn't quite get it done against Cypress Park in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 5-0. Can Cypress Lakes avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
