Football Recap: Kirkwood Piles Up the Points Against Northwest + How To Watch

Kirkwood got themselves on the board against Northwest on Friday, but Northwest never followed suit. They took their game with ease, bagging a 35-0 win over the Vikings. Considering the Cobras have won seven matchups by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Kirkwood's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ryan Daly, who rushed for 81 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Those 81 rushing yards gave Daly a new career-high. Miles Reding was another key passer, throwing for 191 yards and one TD on only 14 passes.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Kirkwood, bringing their record up to 8-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.8 points over those games. As for Northwest, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Looking ahead, Kirkwood will face off against Henry County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cobras will need to watch out since the Patriots have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests. As for Northwest, they are taking a road trip to challenge Northeast at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
