Recap: South Williamsport Mountaineers vs. Midd-West Mustangs
The South Williamsport Mountaineers were the 55-35 winner over the Midd-West Mustangs when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. South Williamsport fell 65-52 to Midd-West on Saturday.
Several Mountaineers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Caleb Neidig, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and 0 assists. That's the first time this season that Neidig scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Radley Knapp, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds.
South Williamsport's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Midd-West, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Williamsport will stay at home for another game and welcome Bucktail at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th. Midd-West will be home for the holidays to greet Jersey Shore at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Jersey Shore is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
