Preview: Hillsdale FIGHTING KNIGHTS vs. Menlo-Atherton Bears
The Hillsdale FIGHTING KNIGHTS will head out on the road to face off against the Menlo-Atherton Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither Hillsdale nor Menlo-Atherton posted many points in their last games, so it might be the defenses that decide this one.
Despite a strong season so far, Hillsdale has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They took a serious blow against Aragon on Friday, falling 34-7.
Meanwhile, Menlo-Atherton was the victim of a tough 30-6 loss at the hands of Los Gatos on Friday. While losing is never fun, Menlo-Atherton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 240th, while Los Gatos is ranked 70th).
Hillsdale has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-3 record this season. As for Menlo-Atherton, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
Hillsdale was taken down by Menlo-Atherton 56-20 in their previous matchup back in October of 2016. Can Hillsdale avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
