Russell County strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They strolled past the Stanhope Elmore Mustangs with points to spare, taking the game 28-10. The 28-point effort marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Russell County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bryson Riggins, who threw for 298 yards and four touchdowns while completing 82.6% of his passes. The Warriors' leading receiver Quentin Lewis was Riggins' top target yet again, picking up 116 receiving yards and three scores.

Russell County's record is now 7-0. As for Stanhope Elmore, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-2.

Coincidentally, Russell County and Stanhope Elmore will both be playing Pike Road the next time they take the field. The Mustangs will head out to face the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Warriors will host them at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
