Soccer Game Preview: Central vs. Catholic

Central hasn't had much luck against Catholic recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Tigers will head out on the road to square off against the Rockets at 5:00 p.m.

Central fell victim to Bryant and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Hornets, falling 3-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, Central haven't been shut out since back in March.

Meanwhile, Catholic entered their tilt with Conway on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Wampus Cats get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Catholic, who have now won seven games by three goals or more so far this season.

Catholic's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-1-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those six matchups. As for Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8-5.

Central suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Catholic in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
