Basketball Recap: Orting Takes a Loss

Orting came up into this matchup off a tough 34-point defeat last Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Clover Park Timberwolves by a score of 43-41 on Tuesday. The match was a 19-19 toss-up at halftime, but the Cardinals couldn't quite close it out.

It was another big night for Andralynne Harless, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards for Clover Park. Harless is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last eight games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ahriana Mamea, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.

Orting's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Clover Park, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-4.

Orting will face off against Washington at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Orting is facing Washington at the right time seeing as Washington is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Clover Park, they will square off against Foss at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
