Softball Recap: Portsmouth Comes Up Short

If Portsmouth was feeling good fresh off their 8-2 takedown of Fairland on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trojans came up short against the Southeastern Panthers on Tuesday, falling 10-0.

Portsmouth saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caitlyn Galloway, who went 1-for-2 with one triple. That triple marked the first that Galloway has hit this season.

Portsmouth has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season. As for Southeastern, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-14.

Portsmouth does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southeastern, they will square off against McClain at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
