Basketball Game Preview: Orting Cardinals vs. Clover Park Timberwolves

The Orting Cardinals will venture away from home to square off against the Clover Park Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Orting is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

On Saturday, Orting took a blow against Graham-Kapowsin, falling 79-45.

Meanwhile, Clover Park got the win against Foster two weeks ago by a conclusive 49-26. The Timberwolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 23 points or more this season.

Clover Park's win came from a few key players Orting will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Andralynne Harless, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 21 rebounds. Those 21 rebounds gave her a new career-high. Ahriana Mamea was another key player, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 16 rebounds.

Clover Park smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 29 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in seven consecutive games.

Clover Park now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Orting, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Orting was dealt a bruising 65-25 defeat at the hands of Clover Park when the teams last played back in February of 2024.
