Softball Recap: Loris Drops Highest Score of Season Against North Charleston

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Loris). They never let the North Charleston Cougars get on the board and left with a 15-0 win on Wednesday. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by six runs or more this season.

Loris got a massive performance out of Peyton Cannon, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those two doubles gave Cannon a new career-high. Jaci Griffin was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Loris always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .800. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Loris pushed their record up to 13-11-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for North Charleston, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-7.

As of now, neither Loris nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
