Volleyball Recap: Crestview Starts off Right with Win over East Liverpool

Crestview had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the East Liverpool Potters by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Rebels in their matchups with the Potters: they've now won five in a row.

Crestview had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-12, 25-20, 25-19.

Kerrigan Miller was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had 23 digs and two aces. Those 23 digs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Wendell, who had 15 digs and three assists.

East Liverpool's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Crestview wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Newton Falls on the 21st. As for East Liverpool, they will head out to face off against Harrison Central at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
