The Naperville North Huskies will head out on the road to face off against the Glenbard East Rams at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The last four games Naperville North has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Naperville North hadn't beaten Waubonsie Valley on the road since May 11, 2023 but that history sure didn't bother them on Thursday. The Huskies sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Warriors. That's two games straight that the Huskies have won by just one run.

Matt Sonnenschein spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on nine hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Naperville North's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brady Marino, who went 2-for-3 with one run. That's the most hits Marino has posted since back in April.
