Mid Valley is 8-2 against Carbondale Area since January of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Spartans will challenge the Chargers at 7:00 p.m. Carbondale Area took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Mid Valley, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, it was close, but Mid Valley sidestepped North Pocono for a 40-37 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Spartans have posted against the Trojans since December 17, 2018.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 55 points the game before, Carbondale Area was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They were beaten by Dunmore 75-20.

Carbondale Area's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Mid Valley, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Everything came up roses for Mid Valley against Carbondale Area when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 49-19 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
