Basketball Recap: Chilton Comes Up Short

Chilton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They took a blow against the Axtell Longhorns, falling 60-23. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Longhorns apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2019.

Chilton's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Axtell, they pushed their record up to 5-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Chilton will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bruceville-Eddy at 6:30 p.m. on January 28th. As for Axtell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mart at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
